Shary B. Akers
1948 American

Shary has been an equine artist for over twenty years portraying horses of all breeds and all animals in a wide variety of media including Bronze Sculpture, Oils, Pastel, Watercolor, Pencil, Jewelry Design and Mixed Media projects. 

Her work is noted for its fine detail, anatomical correctness, and a realistic quality that almost brings each piece of art to life. The attention to beauty of line and form in both her two and three dimensional creations sets her work apart from others. Having raised and shown horses for most of her life, Shary has that personal insight into the character and beauty that is the horse as well as those intimate moments that are so precious to all horsemen. Her custom portrait commissions, original paintings and bronzes are prized by collectors and are found in fine art collections around the world.
